Children, Family and Friends

[Verse 1]
The porch light's glowing softer now
The evening fields are still
There's a gentle road that winds on home
Just past the farthest hill
So lean in close and listen
Harry, Chevon and Alma
My Children, Family and Friends

[Chorus]
I'm safe in the arms of Jesus
There's no more pain or fear
I'm waiting at the golden gates
To welcome you all here
With open arms and a smiling face
Oh, how I loved all of you

[Verse 2]
You filled my many years with joy
With kindness, warm and true
Every laugh around the table
Every sunrise shared with you
Harry, Chevon, Alma dear
You kept me safe and whole
Your sincere and gentle hearts
Still shine inside my soul

[Chorus]
I'm safe in the arms of Jesus
There's no more pain or fear
I'm waiting at the golden gates
To welcome you all here
With open arms and a smiling face
Oh, how I loved all of you

[Bridge]
I've gone home to those I loved
They were waiting at the door
My Darling and Laura are with me now
On that bright and peaceful shore
Faith has turned to glory here
In the light forevermore

[Verse 3]
So hold on to hope when nights are long
Let peace come settle in
Let joy rise up like morning light
And let love lead you again
And when your road is finished too
And your journey's at an end
I'll be there to greet you
My Children, Family and Friends

[Chorus]
I'm safe in the arms of Jesus
There's no more pain or fear
I'm waiting at the golden gates
Harry, Chevon, Alma, I'm here
With open arms and a smiling face
Oh, how I loved all of you

[Outro]
Oh, how I loved all of you
Your kindness carried me through
Harry, Chevon and Alma
I'll see you by and by
I love you
