Frank

[Verse 1]
Some love just flickers, then it fades,
Some love grows stronger through the days.
Some hearts just know before they're grown
That they have found their way back home.
Fifteen, sixteen, so young and free,
October first, you smiled at me.

[Chorus]
Oh Frank, it's fifty years of you,
Since we were young and love was new.
Through every storm, by faith we stand,
Still madly in love, still holding hands.
Thirty-nine years your wife so true,
My whole heart still belongs to you.

[Verse 2]
Two years on I had to go
To Australia, far from home.
You said, we're not splitting up,
I'll see you again next year, my love.
Fourteen months, you crossed the sea,
One hot Brisbane night, you asked me.

[Chorus]
Oh Frank, it's fifty years of you,
Since we were young and love was new.
Through every storm, by faith we stand,
Still madly in love, still holding hands.
Thirty-nine years your wife so true,
My whole heart still belongs to you.

[Bridge]
My father's final words to you,
Look after her, see her through.
Don't let me down, he said that day,
And you've kept that promise every way.

[Verse 3]
I showed you chords at sixteen years,
Now your music moves me close to tears.
Rachael and Julian, our pride,
Sweet baby Emily by our side.
Angie, Mia, Leah too,
Sunshine roads, the world with you.

[Chorus]
Oh Frank, it's fifty years of you,
Since we were young and love was new.
Through every storm, by faith we stand,
Still madly in love, still holding hands.
You ask me, have you let me down?
No, my love, not once, not now.

[Outro]
From that fountain to the Irish rain,
I'd choose you, Frank, all over again.
Fifty years, and still brand new.
