Holly

[Verse 1]
There are people who walk through our days
Who teach us the tender and merciful ways
Bedside prayers in the soft candle glow
You showed me the comfort the dying should know
You handed me courage, you handed me grace
Holly, I found a forever in your face

[Chorus]
Forever best friend, that's what we are
No ocean too wide, no country too far
Through faith and through hope, through joy and through tears
I trust you my whole life, all of my years
Holly, my heart holds you close in the end
You are, and you'll always be, forever best friend

[Verse 2]
You crossed the whole world for a brand new life
A road and a ring, a devoted new wife
But nothing could sever the thread we had spun
Two hearts still beating together as one
We carry each secret, each burden, each fear
Even the miles can't keep you from here

[Chorus]
Forever best friend, that's what we are
No ocean too wide, no country too far
Through faith and through hope, through joy and through tears
I trust you my whole life, all of my years
Holly, my heart holds you close in the end
You are, and you'll always be, forever best friend

[Bridge]
When I lost my father, you held up the light
When your mama went home, I sat through your night
Whatever the ask, I will answer the call
True friendship like ours never falters or falls

[Verse 3]
So this is my thank you, no reason, no rhyme
Just love that keeps growing through distance and time
I luv you, sweet friend, more than words ever say
A gift and a blessing I found on my way

[Outro]
Forever, sweet Holly, our story won't end
I luv you, my dear, my forever best friend
