Eric

[Verse 1]
It started with a volleyball,
A summer sky, a lucky fall,
Two strangers laughing in the sun,
Not knowing then we'd soon be one.
You looked at me and something changed,
And all my fear was rearranged.

[Chorus]
Oh, you renewed my faith in love,
A gift sent down from heaven above,
Through the calm and through the storm,
Your steady heart has kept me warm.
By grace we found our way back home,
Two lost souls, no more alone.

[Verse 2]
You took my girls as your very own,
Taught them how to steer, to grow,
Behind the boat their laughter flew,
Water skis and skies of blue.
Then came a boy, our miracle son,
By the ocean, our life begun.

[Chorus]
Oh, you renewed my faith in love,
A gift sent down from heaven above,
Through the calm and through the storm,
Your steady heart has kept me warm.
By grace we found our way back home,
Two lost souls, no more alone.

[Bridge]
Eric, fifty years have passed,
And still your love was built to last.
It wasn't easy, but you stayed,
Through every trial, unafraid.

[Verse 3]
I cherish every morning light,
Your smiling face, my heart's delight.
We thank the Lord for all He's done,
For every battle that we won.
Together serving, hand in hand,
On faith and gratitude we stand.

[Chorus]
Oh, Eric, you're my faith in love,
A gift sent down from heaven above,
Through the calm and through the storm,
Your steady heart has kept me warm.
By grace we found our way back home,
Two hearts made one, forever known.

[Outro]
Happy birthday, my forever friend,
I'll love you, Eric, to the end.
Thank God He led you straight to me,
Now and through eternity.
