Karen

[Verse 1]
Every morning I wake with a grateful heart
A blessing from Heaven right from the start
When the road got heavy and the sky turned gray
Someone stood beside me and lit up the way
A gift that I never thought I'd receive
A love that taught my soul to believe

[Chorus]
Karen, you're my answered prayer
Sent from above with tender care
Through the storm, you held me tight
Your love a candle in the night
On this day that you were born
I praise the Lord for you, my own

[Verse 2]
We said our vows where the healers filled the room
With doctors, nurses, light and flowers in bloom
Tears on my face as I held your hand
A promise of forever, our sacred stand
When the odds were slim and my hours few
Your prayers and His mercy carried me through

[Chorus]
Karen, you're my answered prayer
Sent from above with tender care
Through the storm, you held me tight
Your love a candle in the night
On this day that you were born
I praise the Lord for you, my own

[Bridge]
When I was broken, you carried me through
Through every fall, your faith held true
God knew my heart and He sent me you

[Verse 3]
So here's to the years still up ahead
To every word of grace we've said
With joy and devotion, I'll sing your name
My heart forever glad you came
Happy birthday, my beautiful love
A treasure from the One above

[Chorus]
Karen, you're my answered prayer
Sent from above with tender care
Through the storm, you held me tight
Your love a candle in the night
On this day that you were born
I praise the Lord for you, my own

[Outro]
I love you, Karen, till the end
My blessing, my joy, my truest friend
