Mac

[Verse 1]
We walked the same old hallways
Back when we were young and free
Then life took us in different ways
Through storms we couldn't see
Some heartache and some sorrow
But love had one more plan for me

[Chorus]
Oh, it took us all this time to find
A love that heaven had designed
A brand new start, a second sky
Two hearts that God let intertwine
Happy birthday to the one I hold
A treasure worth more than the gold

[Verse 2]
In our sixties, who'd believe it
We fell just like the kids we were
All our children came together
Grandkids laughing, joyful blur
Even one sweet great-granddaughter
This crazy blessing feels so sure

[Chorus]
Oh, it took us all this time to find
A love that heaven had designed
A brand new start, a second sky
Two hearts that God let intertwine
Happy birthday to the one I hold
A treasure worth more than the gold

[Bridge]
Mac, I thank the Lord above
For giving me your steady love
The road was long, but here we stand
Your birthday morning, hand in hand

[Verse 3]
So here's to all our tomorrows
Every candle, every year
Mac, you turned my winter into spring
And chased away my fear
With faith to lead and joy to spare
I'm so glad that you are here

[Chorus]
Oh, it took us all this time to find
A love that heaven had designed
A brand new start, a second sky
Two hearts that God let intertwine
Happy birthday to the one I hold
A treasure worth more than the gold

[Outro]
Happy birthday, sweet Mac of mine
A better late, a love divine
