Mikki

[Verse 1]
From a coal town tucked in the hills,
Where the mountains taught her will,
A small girl with a steady flame,
Carried courage in her name.
At eighteen she packed her dreams,
Headed west past dusty streams.

[Chorus]
Oh, what a life, what a beautiful fight,
Through the long dark and into the light.
Hope in her hands, love in her stride,
A quiet kind of strength she carries inside.
Happy birthday to a heart so true,
There's no one in this world like you.

[Verse 2]
Fort Sill skies stretched Oklahoma wide,
Four little ones right by her side—
Laura, James, Judy, Jason too,
Every hour she pulled them through.
Worked her fingers, prayed her prayers,
Climbed the mountain of those years.

[Chorus]
Oh, what a life, what a beautiful fight,
Through the long dark and into the light.
Hope in her hands, love in her stride,
A quiet kind of strength she carries inside.
Happy birthday, Mikki, our guiding view,
There's no one in this world like you.

[Bridge]
Then came Bill with gentle days,
Twenty years of kinder ways.
She survived what tried to take her,
Soft and strong, her own peacemaker.

[Verse 3]
Now her garden hums in spring,
Seahawks cheers and books that sing,
Texts with Judy, laughter, games,
Bread and stories, love remains.
Eighty-nine and still her own,
Brightest light this world has known.

[Chorus]
Oh, what a life, what a beautiful fight,
Through the long dark and into the light.
Hope in her hands, love in her stride,
A quiet kind of strength she carries inside.
Happy birthday, Mikki, our guiding view,
There's no one in this world like you.

[Outro]
Petite and mighty, kind and free,
Mikki, you're our family tree.
