Sherry

[Verse 1]
Some folks wait their whole life long
For a light to lead them home
I was drifting down a lonesome road
Never knew where I belonged
Then we ran the beach at sunrise
Your laughter chasin' waves along

[Chorus]
Oh Sherry, you're my brand new start
You give this world your whole big heart
You light up every room you're in
Put yourself last time and again
So here's a song to say it true
Darlin', I'm so thankful for you

[Verse 2]
I still see your face that night
When the whole room yelled surprise
On your birthday, there you were
Makin' sure the rest were fine
Then a weekend on the couch
Christmas movies, holdin' tight

[Chorus]
Oh Sherry, you're my brand new start
You give this world your whole big heart
You light up every room you're in
Put yourself last time and again
So here's a song to say it true
Darlin', I'm so thankful for you

[Bridge]
I don't know what tomorrow holds
But I know it's you and me
Every sunrise, every snowfall
Every new beginning we'll see

[Verse 3]
When November comes around
You hang tinsel, lights, and bows
So I built a little shed out back
Painted red with frosted glow
Now you call it your Santa Shed
Every nail was worth it, girl, I know

[Chorus]
Oh Sherry, you're my brand new start
You give this world your whole big heart
You light up every room you're in
Put yourself last time and again
So here's my heart, forever true
Darlin', I'm so thankful for you

[Outro]
Here's to sunrise on the sand
Here's to twinkle lights and snow
Here's to every brand new day
Sherry, I'm never lettin' go
