My siser

[Verse 1]
Back when we were barefoot kids
And the summer storms rolled through
I'd hold your hand when thunder came
Swore nothing would get to you
I was your rock, your fearless guard
The keeper of your heart

[Chorus]
Now you're the one who holds me up
When the world comes crashing down
You're the light inside my window
You're my steady solid ground
So here's my thank you, plain and true
I will always watch the rain with you

[Verse 2]
Then came the morning he was gone
And my whole world went still
Jessica, you flew from Colorado
To Illinois that day
You risked your school to stay with me
As long as you could stay

[Chorus]
Now you're the one who holds me up
When the world comes crashing down
You're the light inside my window
You're my steady solid ground
So here's my thank you, plain and true
I will always watch the rain with you

[Bridge]
I used to be your shelter
Now you're mine, it's come back round
I owe you everything, I mean it
Every single thing I've found

[Verse 3]
You helped me raise my boys to men
When I couldn't stand alone
Now my granddaughter's reaching up
And you're helping build her home
Jessica, you healed the broken parts
I thought would never mend

[Chorus]
Now you're the one who holds me up
When the world comes crashing down
You're the light inside my window
You're my steady solid ground
So here's my thank you, sister, true
I will always watch the rain with you

[Outro]
When the clouds roll in, I won't be blue
I will always watch the rain with you
