Tim

[Verse 1]
I was thirteen with my heart on fire,
You were seventeen, my whole desire.
An athlete's stride, a quiet flame,
Five years of love before I took your name.
Sixty winters we have known,
A December vow, and how we've grown.

[Chorus]
Oh Tim, you're the rock beneath my feet,
The steady hand that made my life complete.
Through every storm you held me high,
A good and honest man, my whole life through.
By faith and grace we made it, me and you.

[Verse 2]
Grandma Gerty raised you strong,
Through early loss you carried on.
You gave our boys your steady hand,
Taught Travis, Tyler how to stand.
Five grandkids gather round your knee,
Mackenna, Chloe, Wayde, Bo, and Linc, our family tree.

[Chorus]
Oh Tim, you're the rock beneath my feet,
The steady hand that made my life complete.
Through every storm you held me high,
A good and honest man, my whole life through.
By faith and grace we made it, me and you.

[Bridge]
We knelt in dark and prayed for light,
Our sons came home, God won that fight.
Three times the shadow called your name,
And every time you rose again.

[Verse 3]
Whatever goal you set your eyes,
You chase it down until you rise.
So proud of all the man you've been,
The love you give though it stays hid within.
Praise be to God for all we've known,
Sixty years and never once alone.

[Chorus]
Oh Tim, you're the rock beneath my feet,
The steady hand that made my life complete.
Through every storm you held me high,
A good and honest man, my whole life through.
By faith and grace we made it, me and you.

[Outro]
December calls us home once more,
Still in love like years before.
