Mike Walsh

[Verse 1]
There was a season I was letting go,
Closing a door I thought I'd always know.
The road was heavy, the future unclear,
Then like a sunrise, you appeared.
In just a few short hours I could see,
The one who'd walk through all of life with me.

[Chorus]
Oh Mike, you were my brand new start,
The steady hand that healed my heart.
You gave me courage to begin,
A gentle strength to lean right in.
And every day I'm grateful for
The love that opened up a door.

[Verse 2]
I knew right then, somewhere down deep inside,
You'd be the father walking by my side.
You didn't run from all my yesterdays,
You loved me through the storm and haze.
You saw the woman I could someday be,
And every day you help me set her free.

[Chorus]
Oh Mike, you were my brand new start,
The steady hand that healed my heart.
You gave me courage to begin,
A gentle strength to lean right in.
And every day I'm grateful for
The love that opened up a door.

[Bridge]
You guide me gently, never asking why,
You lift me higher, teach me how to fly.
The best of me is here because of you—
That's the truth, and it's forever true.

[Verse 3]
So here's to years and all the years ahead,
The children's laughter, every word we've said.
Through every season, come what may,
I'd choose you, Mike, again today.
You are my courage, my forever home,
The love that never leaves me on my own.

[Chorus]
Oh Mike, you were my brand new start,
The steady hand that healed my heart.
You gave me strength to see it through,
And all my love comes home to you.

[Outro]
So thank you, love, for who I've grown to be—
You are the man who set my whole heart free.
