Tish

[Verse 1]
Some roads you drive by accident,
Some roads you drive on faith.
I'd seen you once at the rodeo,
And at work from far away.
So I followed your taillights to the pumps,
And filled your tank just to say hello.

[Chorus]
You're the rock that holds us together
When the storm beats on the door.
You'll step into any role we need,
Then turn and give us more.
I love you more today then yesterday but less than tomorrow,
And Tish, that's what I'm living for.

[Verse 2]
Your daddy went home to heaven
When we'd barely just begun,
But I knew, so I said move in with me,
Bring your boy, he'll fit with my son.
Then God sent us a baby girl,
And at 46, one more son.

[Chorus]
You're the rock that holds us together
When the storm beats on the door.
You'll step into any role we need,
Then turn and give us more.
I love you more today then yesterday but less than tomorrow,
And Tish, that's what I'm living for.

[Bridge]
Through the lean years and the hard years,
When the bank and the heart ran dry,
You laid your own dreams down for us,
And swore I'd still touch the sky.

[Verse 3]
Now a bigger ranch, a young boy's boots,
And I'm too long on the road.
Dad's in the fight of his life,
And you help carry that load.
There's a chair we keep for the ones we miss,
And you leave the porch light on.

[Chorus]
You're the rock that holds us together,
The strongest mama I know,
With faith that never wavers
And a love that won't let go.
I love you more today then yesterday but less than tomorrow,
Tish, that's how my love will grow.

[Outro]
Mine started at a gas pump,
And it led me home to you.
